Few brass bands are as well-known as the Bohemian band. Its unmistakable sound embodies the Bohemian way of life and the traditions of the Egerland region. The challenging musical pieces revel in boundless joy of life, but also convey melancholy and nostalgia for the lost homeland. Since its founding, the passionate musicians have filled halls and concert venues throughout Germany. This is particularly due to the orchestra's immense quality and their music. It’s no surprise that the professional musicians have played or are playing in military or police orchestras across Germany, such as the Bundeswehr's military music corps, the Federal Police Orchestra in Berlin, and the former Air Force Music Corps in Berlin. Since October 2022, the Golden Egerlanders have been led by Edi Sagert, a former musician with Ernst Mosch and former head of the Original Kapelle Egerland. With a lively, authentic, and spirited style, but also with a lot of feeling, the orchestra shapes its performances, and of course, as it should be, in their original Egerland costumes. Under the motto "Favorite Melodies from Egerland," the focus of their musical presentations is also on the interpretation of the most beautiful Egerland sounds, including those of ERNST MOSCH and his Original Egerland Musicians. When, for example, the "Rustling Birches" play, the audience sings along to "We are Children of the Eger," or the "Bohemian Wind" gently blows through the concert hall, every friend of Egerland brass music gets their money's worth.
