She came with a handful of sand and captured the hearts of her audience with her extraordinary talent. Irina Titova is the "QUEEN OF SAND" and knows how to bring the fleetingness of the moment to life on stage like no one else. Since her first tour in Germany in 2018, she has enchanted her viewers, taking them on a sensational journey "Around the World in 80 Images," and in 2026, she will finally provide many shining eyes with a new sand painting show.
The theme is "The Fabulous World of Film." The audience accompanies a young man on his exciting journey and immerses themselves in the most beautiful and well-known film scenes from Hollywood's dream factory. With breathtaking speed, the Sand Queen creates her images on a backlit glass pane, which is projected onto a screen. Here, the sand protagonist meets all the great and small heroines and heroes from our favorite films. He encounters the alien E.T., who desperately wants to phone home, and comforts him with true friendship in his homesickness. He flies over the oceans with the luck dragon Fuchur from "The NeverEnding Story," travels back in time with Marty McFly and Doc Brown in the DeLorean in "Back to the Future," listens once more to the famous song with Ingrid Bergman in "Casablanca," and finally eats chocolates on the legendary park bench as Forrest Gump. And perhaps he will meet the girl of his dreams, help her with the watermelon, and they will dance together into the happy ending?
Forrest Gump's mom always said that life is like a box of chocolates – and so is the show of the sand artist. You never know what comes next; Irina's hands and the sand are in constant motion as she lets it flow onto the pane with impressive precision, breathing life into it. The scenes seamlessly blend into one another, surprising, captivating, and enchanting the audience, while also sharing the story of Hollywood's origins.
Accompanied by the unmistakable voice of the internationally renowned German film star Sky Du Mont as the narrator and the famous melodies of Hollywood's most sought-after composers such as Klaus Badelt, Hans Zimmer, John Williams, Alan Silvestri, and Giorgio Moroder, the talented artist creates an absolutely unique atmosphere every evening. As the director and author of this fabulous journey through the world of film, Katrin Edtmeier is responsible, just as she was for "Around the World in 80 Images."
Amidst beautiful memories of unforgettable scenes and the bittersweet nostalgia that nothing lasts forever, the audience enjoys the fascination of the moment with every grain of sand. Did our young hero really experience all of this, or was it just a dream? One thing is certain: the story is too beautiful not to be true.
