Bernhard Wiesinger Organ Quartet: ENLIGHTENED!

The Bernhard Wiesinger Organ Quartet places improvisation at the center and draws on the legendary sound of the Blue Note era of Larry Young, Lonnie Smith, and Stanley Turrentine. The ensemble moves between Hard Bop and Soul Jazz, primarily presenting their own compositions and arrangements.

With Christian Havel, Erwin Schmidt, and Dusan Novakov, three of the most renowned musicians in the Austrian jazz scene play in the rhythm section alongside the Weinviertel saxophonist and flutist Bernhard Wiesinger. Together, they released the album "What now my love?" in 2021.

Wiesinger has now become a fixed part of the national and international jazz scene. With "Notice That Moment" (2020) and "Enlightened" (2020), Wiesinger released two noteworthy albums, which he recorded in New York with renowned musicians from the international jazz scene, such as Bill Stewart, Kevin Hays, and Peter Bernstein. Jerry Bergonzi said about him: “Bernhard Wiesinger's new CD Enlightened is truly inspirational. What a great tenor saxophone sound."
