14th Thematic Exhibition at the Town Hall Gallery Steyr: be(k)lebtEbenhofer, Goldhoff, Gsaller, Schoenangerer Four artists conceptually respond to the wall in the first floor of the Town Hall Gallery Steyr, which has been adorned with quotes since the 4th thematic exhibition (early 2022). Four quotes from Lao-Tzu, W. Ebenhofer, Hannah Arendt, and W. Heisenberg were part of their installation at that time. Unexpectedly, the texts formed a deep connection with the Town Hall wall. Originally designed to be easily removable, a strong situation linking art and the Town Hall was surprisingly created, transforming from being merely covered to being alive. A powerful sign of vibrant art in a venerable house of politics and office. From the past through the present into the future, contemporary, educational, and open to art. The wall has already witnessed 14 exhibitions featuring the written characters or quote relics. Each of the four artists has their own approach to the current theme "be(k)lebt." "One can look forward to the results – now expanded to two floors," says curator Johannes Angerbauer.
