Stephan Zinner has the blues. This does not mean that he is downcast; on the contrary. With the energy characteristic of the blues, he embarks on a journey to the roots of the blues. And these roots do not lie, as many think, solely in the Mississippi Delta in the southern USA; no, they also lie in Trostberg in Upper Bavaria. Of course, there are no cotton fields there, but corn fields, and you won’t find the devil at the crossroads, but rather at the local savings bank on the corner. Instead of bourbon, they drink Rüscherl, but the women can drive you to despair just the same; the work is hard, the rich are rich, the poor are poor, and only music can save you. So, Zinner picks up his guitar and, with the support of a true devil of a man named Peter Pichler, will howl the blues, preach the gospel, and dance until Satan himself gets dizzy.
