Vormoos and his last blacksmith

On September 1, 1946, Peter Hintermaier began his apprenticeship at the "Ferdlschmied" in Vormoos at the age of 14. He would be the last apprentice allowed to learn this craft in the village. His experiences and stories have been collected by Josef Bachleitner and put down on paper for the current edition of "Bundwerk."
In his presentation, he takes us on a virtual stroll through Vormoos in the late 1940s and 1950s, sharing tales of customs, tavern brawls, the largest church bell for miles around, and the forges that existed in the village at that time. The stories from the life of "apprentice Peter" are particularly impressive, offering a glimpse into a completely different working world than the one we know today.
