This day hike in the back Saxon Switzerland follows the Caspar David Friedrich Trail and the Painter's Way Stage 6. We will discover rocks and viewpoints where Caspar David Friedrich painted his world-famous picture "Wanderer above the Sea of Fog," among others. On the tour, we will learn more about the formation of the unique natural area of the Elbe Sandstone Mountains and its rare flora and fauna in this protected region of the national park. Nature and art come alive here! Approximately 12 km, about 5 hours, approximately 400 meters of elevation gain. Sturdy footwear and a good basic fitness level are required. Please bring your own provisions. There are opportunities for refreshments in Krippen at the end of the tour.
