Oberkrainer from Begunje - The Oberkrainer are coming!

An evening full of joy, musical enjoyment, and alpine sound tradition – "The Oberkrainers are coming!" is a musical homage to the inventor of Oberkrainer music: Slavko Avsenik. The ensemble Die Oberkrainer from Begunje was founded in 2007 and is led by Nici Legat, a musician with true Oberkrainer DNA. He has performed on stage with Slavko Avsenik and was a member of the legendary Original Young Oberkrainer. With a wealth of experience, passion, and a deep connection to tradition, he brings the music of his great role model back to the stage. The classic Oberkrainer quintet with a vocal duo plays the biggest hits from Slavko Avsenik's repertoire – including titles like "Trompetenecho," "On the Highway," or "It’s So Beautiful to Be a Musician." The program is complemented by original compositions that seamlessly fit in stylistically and carry forward the unique sound of this music genre. "Music is our life" – this motto is palpable in every note.
