Public family tours during the holidays show snapshots on paper. They remain unchanged and capture fleeting landscapes in the moment. Carl Blechen, the famous painter and draftsman from Cottbus in the 19th century, has his fixed place in Branitz Castle. Prince Pückler, as the former lord of the castle, still shows us his changeable landscape art in the open air today. Here, the forces of time and natural elements are at work. Both creators have their own style, yet they share so much in common. During a tour, we discover the advantages of both landscape artists and try our hand at drawing.
