France in the 1950s: Michel, an average bank employee, and his wife Hélène live what seems to be the perfect family idyll. However, when their new washing machine short-circuits, both are catapulted into the year 2025 – and everything is turned upside down. Hélène becomes a career-oriented power woman, while Michel has to navigate life as a househusband in a smart home. Instead of a patriarchal order, equality suddenly reigns, digital assistants get involved, and their daughter wants to marry her girlfriend. While Hélène enjoys her newfound freedom, Michel struggles with the modern world and longs for the "good old days." But how do you operate a washing machine on a time travel journey?
