Special exhibition "Felix Lücking - Cross-section of a life's work"

In the new special exhibition "Felix Lücking – A Cross-Section of a Life's Work," we present a selection from the multifaceted oeuvre of the talented artist Felix Lücking. Felix Lücking was a versatile German artist born in Berlin in 1889, who passed away in Guben after World War II. Growing up in an educated middle-class family, his artistic talent became evident at an early age. Although he initially pursued a law degree, art remained his central form of expression throughout his life. Lücking's work includes drawings, watercolors, pastels, prints, and oil paintings. His subjects range from sensitive portraits to atmospheric landscapes and detailed cityscapes—often with references to the Guben region. Stylistically, he navigates between realistic, romantic, and expressive forms of expression. Today, Felix Lücking is regarded as an almost forgotten artistic personality. The current exhibition honors his multifaceted work and aims to re-establish him as a significant representative of regional art history in the public consciousness. The special exhibition will be on display from January 21 to April 26, 2026, at the Hut Gallery in the City and Industrial Museum of Guben during regular opening hours.
