It is probably the smartest mountain in the city: Telegrafenberg. In 1832, the construction of the optical telegraph station marked the beginning of the use of the area. However, the most famous building is likely the Einstein Tower – a solar observatory intended to confirm Einstein's theory of relativity. It became the namesake of the science park "Albert Einstein," which is home to the Geo Research Center, the Astrophysical Institute Potsdam, the Alfred Wegener Institute for Polar and Marine Research, and the Potsdam Institute for Climate Impact Research. The mix of research and exciting architecture in the midst of nature makes this place unique.
