Thematic tour with Father Erwin Wieczorek, MSF, and Annemarie Heußlein

Abbot Josef Hartmann was the commissioner of the high altar and the four side altars in the nave of the Bronnbach monastery church. Oswald Onghers, a Flemish Baroque painter, created the altar paintings. During the regular monastery tour, there is hardly any time to focus on these artworks. Therefore, the five oil paintings, all of which have a close connection to the Cistercians, will be specially honored and explained. The focus will not be on architectural considerations, but rather on the message of the paintings. Father Erwin from the Missionaries of the Holy Family will provide biblical texts to accompany each scene, while tour guide Annemarie Heußlein will offer insights into the details, such as the figures, adornments, and clothing, providing a way to interpret them.
