And that’s why this evening revolves doubly around surprise visits: on one hand, it is 100% improvised, the specialty of the STUPID LOVERS; on the other hand, they themselves become surprise guests on a foreign stage. One of the rules of the evening is that the actors do not know the set but simply perform in a set they find. The audience can also add significant surprises. Through a secret channel, they make the stage speak. But no more can be revealed, as that will, who would have guessed, be a surprise! As always, the STUPID LOVERS throw themselves into the challenge and search for secrets in the wings, in the props, in the decorations of the foreign set. In every object, a song or a dialogue sleeps, waiting to be discovered. An intense atmosphere arises, in which the objects of the stage, the found dialogues, and the improvisational art of the actors come together to create a hilariously chaotic yet absurdly existential experience. The STUPID LOVERS theater (Nicole Erichsen, Gunter Lösel, Ebbi Grözinger) offers award-winning improvisational art at the highest level, always true to their motto: “To be ready is everything!” (Hamlet).
