Large Lantern Parade of all Sulzfeld Kindergartens followed by St. Martin's Festival at the Town Hall Square

The municipality of Sulzfeld warmly invites you to the third community lantern parade followed by the St. Martin's Festival! We are excited to experience this special afternoon together with you and to celebrate the beginning of the dark season with a colorful and festive event.

When? Wednesday, November 11, 2026, starting at 5:00 PM.

Where? The lantern parade starts at the fire station and proceeds along Kirchstraße and the street "Am Kohlbach" across the schoolyard of the Blanc-und-Fischer School to the Town Hall Square. The parade will be led by St. Martin on horseback. All families are warmly invited to walk along with their children in the parade. At the beginning at the fire station and in the schoolyard, we will sing lantern songs together, accompanied instrumentally by members of the fire brigade band and the brass choir.

After the parade, everyone is warmly invited to enjoy the St. Martin's Festival at the Town Hall Square. There, Sulzfeld associations will offer numerous treats and drinks starting at 5:00 PM: mulled wine, wine, beer, non-alcoholic beverages, and apple punch, as well as waffles, steaks, sausages, and fries to satisfy your appetite. Come by, bring your family, friends, and of course your lanterns! We look forward to a lovely evening filled with colorful lights and a festive atmosphere. We are looking forward to seeing you!

Complete closure and temporary partial closures during the large lantern parade with St. Martin's Festival

To ensure the safety of the participants in the parade and the event area at the Town Hall Square, the area from the entrance of Hauptstraße to Gartenstraße and the area of Gartenstraße to the entrance of Am Kohlbach will be completely closed from 5:00 PM. The businesses such as the pharmacy, hairdresser, garden center, post office, and nursing home will no longer be directly accessible by car due to the complete closure from 5:00 PM. During the parade, the volunteer fire department will accompany the lantern parade and temporarily close the affected streets.

We kindly ask for your understanding and cooperation. Residents of the affected sections in Kirchstraße and the street "Am Kohlbach" are requested to park their vehicles on private property and not on the street so that the parade can pass unhindered. The sidewalk area along the parade route may be decorated with lights and autumn decorations.
