Lantern parade with St. Martin's Day celebrations

Large lantern parade of all Sulzfeld kindergartens followed by St. Martin's Day celebrations on the town hall square The municipality of Sulzfeld cordially invites you to the third municipal lantern parade followed by St. Martin's Day celebrations! We look forward to spending this special afternoon with you and celebrating the beginning of the dark season with a colorful and festive event. **When?** **Wednesday, November 11, 2026, starting at 5:00 p.m.** **Where?** The lantern parade starts at the fire station and proceeds along Kirchstraße and Straße "Am Kohlbach" via the schoolyard of the Blanc-und-Fischer-Schule to the town hall square. The procession will be led by St. Martin on horseback. All families are cordially invited to join the procession with their children. At the start at the fire station and in the schoolyard, lantern songs will be sung together, accompanied by members of the fire department band and the trombone choir. After the parade, everyone is welcome to enjoy the **St. Martin's Festival on Rathausplatz**. Starting at 5:00 p.m., Sulzfeld clubs will offer a variety of treats and drinks: mulled wine, wine, beer, non-alcoholic beverages, and apple punch, as well as waffles, steaks, sausages, and French fries will be available. Come along, bring your family, friends, and of course your lanterns! We look forward to a wonderful evening with lots of colorful lights and a festive atmosphere. **We look forward to seeing you!** **Complete closure and temporary sectional closures as part of the large lantern parade with St. Martin's Festival** To ensure the safety of the parade participants and the event venue at Rathausplatz, the area from the Hauptstraße entrance to Gartenstraße and the area from Gartenstraße to the Am Kohlbach entrance will be completely closed from 5 p.m. The pharmacy, hairdresser, garden center, post office, and retirement home will no longer be directly accessible by car due to the full closure from 5:00 p.m. During the parade, the volunteer fire department will accompany the lantern parade and temporarily close the affected streets. We ask for your understanding and cooperation. We kindly ask residents of the affected sections of Kirchstraße and Am Kohlbach to park their vehicles on private property and not on the street so that the parade can pass unhindered. The sidewalk area along the parade route may be decorated with lights and autumn decorations.
