On the occasion of the 200th anniversary of Johann Peter Hebel's death, the symposium "Johann Peter Hebel – Prelate, Poet, Human Being" explores the multifaceted life, work, and impact of this significant writer. Five scholarly contributions focus on Hebel's theology, pedagogy, literature, ecological understanding, and reception history. The city of Schwetzingen, in cooperation with the Schwetzingen District Adult Education Center, the Baden Home Association e.V. Regional Group Schwetzingen, and the Mannheim Antiquities Association of 1859 e.V.
