My Dearest Father, Most Beloved Papa!
On this evening, Fritz Karl and his son Aaron Karl read from the letters exchanged between Father Leopold and Son Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart. This extensive correspondence provides insight into both the cultural life and the inner life of the Mozart family. In his letters, Mozart almost always addresses his father as "My dearest Papa" - "Mon très cher père" - and presents himself as the "most obedient son."
The historically resonant intertexts and dialogues have been specially created for this program by the two renowned dramaturges Dr. Felicitas Wolf and Dr. Michaela Wolf.
The evening is musically framed by the Sonare string quartet with early compositions by Leopold Mozart, his influences Joseph Haydn and C.P.E. Bach, the best of W.A. Mozart's string quartets, as well as from his Requiem in the version by Peter Lichtenthal from 1828 and other arrangements of works by the musical genius.

Fritz Karl
Fritz Karl (* December 21, 1967, in Gmunden, Upper Austria) attended the Max Reinhardt Seminar in Vienna. From 1986, he had engagements primarily on Viennese theater stages, at the Volkstheater, and at the Theater in der Josefstadt. Director Dieter Berner first featured Fritz Karl on television in the workers' saga "Die Verlockung" in 1988. He became known throughout the German-speaking world as Sebastian Reidinger in the series "Julia – an Unusual Woman," which he played in the first three seasons. For his role as Mario in Houchang Allahyari's "Höhenangst," he was awarded the Max Ophüls Prize for Best Newcomer in 1995.
In 2003, he portrayed the Bavarian poacher Georg Girgl Jennerwein alongside August Schmölzer and Christoph Waltz in the television drama "Jennerwein," which received a nomination for the German Television Award. In 2006, Fritz Karl played the Kandlerwirt and widower Lorenz Schneider in the award-winning film comedy "Wer früher stirbt, ist länger tot" by Marcus H. Rosenmüller. In the same year, he took on the role of the passionate Gregor Luckne alongside Heino Ferch in the story of a lifelong friendship "Auf ewig und einen Tag." In 2007, Fritz Karl embodied the character of Commissioner Benno Söder in "Eine folgenschwere Affäre," a psychological thriller about murder, betrayal, and guilt among colleagues.
For this role, Fritz Karl was nominated for Best Actor in a Television Film at the Bavarian Television Award in 2008. In the same year, he played the role of a divorced father, Oskar, in the coming-of-age drama "Die Zeit, die man Leben nennt," who has to cope with the difficult life situation of his accident-traumatized son Luca. He made guest appearances in "Soko Kitzbühel," "Polizeiruf 110," "Tatort," "Kommissar Rex" (1998; 2002; 2008), and in the "Nachtschicht" episode "Blutige Stadt." In 2009, Fritz Karl co-founded the Academy of Austrian Film with other Austrian filmmakers. In 2011, he appeared in the film "Black-Brown-White."
In 2011, he was awarded the Austrian Television Prize Romy as the most popular actor.

Aaron Karl
