Carving Course "Carving Faces with Expression"

Bringing faces to life with knife, chisel, and a lot of feeling. Due to high demand, the Folk Art School of the Erzgebirgskreis is offering an additional carving workshop at Schwarzenberg Castle. Carving instructor Michael Rössel-Rothe will teach specific techniques and tips for carving faces in a two-day course. The workshop is aimed at participants with prior knowledge who wish to deepen their skills and bring expression, character, and life to their wooden figures. Individual support will be provided based on the level of experience. The number of participants is limited, and pre-registration is absolutely necessary. The Folk Art School of the Erzgebirgskreis is a creative meeting point for traditional and modern crafts. In courses and workshops, it imparts craft skills with heart and dedication.
