Special Exhibition: ReMO presents ceramics by Verena Siol

Information about the exhibition Under the title "Structures – Works in Clay. Studio Verena Siol," the ReMO – Regional Museum Oberhavel will showcase creations by the Oranienburg artist in the coming weeks. For Verena Siol, the natural color, the surface texture of the clay, and the handling of fire play a significant role. From high-fired stoneware, she creates timeless and durable ceramics – consciously contrasting them with industrial production. In addition to vessel forms, she produces wall reliefs and sculptural designs. On April 26, 2026, Verena Siol will once again be a guest at the exhibition in ReMO as part of the Orange Festival, where she will present her works in an artist talk. The artist Verena Siol hails from the South Harz region. After studying engineering with a focus on silicate technology at the Bauhaus University Weimar, she completed a postgraduate study in civil engineering at the Thuringian Academy Weimar in the early 1990s. From 1994 to 2005, she worked in the field of building renovation and monument preservation. Since 2006, Verena Siol has been a freelance artist with studios in Oranienburg and in Morinesio, Italy. She is also active as a lecturer. In 2014, she completed a postgraduate study to become an art therapist at the Institute for Art Therapy Berlin-Brandenburg. Opening Hours The special exhibition featuring works by Verena Siol can be visited until April 26, 2025, during the opening hours of the ReMO – Regional Museum Oberhavel: every Tuesday to Sunday starting at 10:00 AM.
