Every year on the second weekend of March, Germany's pottery workshops open their doors - including those in Uckermark. Friederike Dux creates dishes and unique pieces in various shades. You can find mugs, plates, jugs, cookie jars, and ceramic products featuring the kingfisher motif. The ceramics are available at the Quintessenz Gallery in the artisan courtyard in Thomsdorf, as well as a smaller selection at the tourist information center in Lychen and at the regional store at the train station in Fürstenberg. In her own small pottery studio across from the artisan courtyard, ceramics will once again be fired in a small wood-fired raku kiln for the open pottery day.
