50 Years of Karussell – The Anniversary Tour Three Generations – One Band The band Karussell was founded in 1976 by Wolf Rüdiger Raschke in Leipzig and enjoyed great success until 1989 in various line-ups. In 1990, this era came to an end for the time being. In 2007, the son of the band's founder, Joe Raschke, provided the decisive impulse for a comeback. This was followed by initial concerts and intensive creative work. By this point, the band had released 6 successful albums and continued with a high standard of lyrics and music from where everything had seemingly ended, remaining authentic and recognizable. Since the restart, 4 new albums have been produced. The latest album, "Unter den Sternen," was released in April 2024. Throughout its long history, Karussell has toured through Eastern and Western Europe, Scandinavia, South America, France, Denmark, Finland, Sweden, the Soviet Union, Bulgaria, Romania, the Czech Republic, Poland, Uruguay, Cuba, and Belgium. Today, the band consists of three generations and takes the audience on a journey through 50 years of band history in the anniversary year 2026 with first-class sound and an excellent light show.
