Baroque masterpieces played on original instruments bring the sound of their time to life and provide direct access to the music of the 17th and 18th centuries. The selection of works in 'Imperial Melange' makes audible how Italian and French music has manifested in the German-speaking world, how it has had very different effects in a confined space, and how it has led to very diverse results. Established as the smallest opera and concert house in Austria, the performances in the KRYPTA captivate with their intensity, high quality, and unusual venue. Located deep beneath the Vienna Peterskirche, the intimate hall offers a personal experience that attracts guests from all over the world. The KRYPTA is comfortably temperate in every season.
