Ursula Strauss & Ernst Molden

The collaboration between actress Ursula Strauss and songwriter and poet Ernst Molden has been ongoing for over ten years: the two have jointly opened the Vienna Festival Weeks at the Rathausplatz twice and have performed numerous concerts across the German-speaking world.

In recent years, Ernst Molden has written two dozen new songs for Ursula Strauss and himself. Following the album "Wüdnis" and the accompanying tour, the new project "Oame söö" (= "Poor Soul") is now released. The new songs, stripped down to two voices and electric guitar, tell tales of legends and myths, from the rose garden of King Laurin, to the dangerous basilisk in Vienna, and to water spirits that can lurk in any fire pond. The songs are written by the Viennese songwriter, author, and dramaturge Ernst Molden, and on stage with him is a true Austrian favorite: actress and singer Ursula Strauss.
