The development from the former water castle to the Grohnde office and up to today's modern agricultural operation is presented. The walk goes into the courtyard and the garden, past former workhouses and along the Weser River to the ferry. The ferryman even had his own legal district, and he also provided accommodation for travelers. Flooding and ice flows repeatedly posed challenges for the ferry.
