In the Middle Ages, the lords of Aerzen built a castle in the Hummetal, which became the center of a small lordship. In front of the castle, a settlement developed, resembling a town, the structures of which can still be recognized today. Discover the old town center with its charming half-timbered houses. The historic St. Mary's Church opens its doors for you. Look forward to numerous stories and legends from long ago.
