The annual cutter parade is organized by the fishermen of Greetsiel and the Greetsiel and Surroundings Tourism Association. As in previous years, a large number of the cutter captains with their ships based in Greetsiel are participating in this event, which enjoys great popularity. During the event, various shanty choirs perform at the harbor (including the Norddeich Shanty Choir) and provide cheerful entertainment with their maritime music. There is also plenty of food available, including fresh smoked fish and fish and shrimp rolls from local production.
