"In the Corner by the Fire: Tea and Low German in an Entertaining Hour"

At a cup of tea, you will be greeted by "Geeske," the maid of farmer Daje, in the "Hohes Haus" hotel by the fireplace. Let yourself be enchanted in an original historical atmosphere. "Geeske an’t breien" (Geeske at the knitting) finds Geeske at her work, the craft of darning and knitting. In the process, she tells entertaining stories (Vertellkes) in Low German.

Allow yourself to be enchanted during an East Frisian tea ceremony in the Hohes Haus with anecdotes, songs, and stories in easily understandable Low German. In dialogue with farmer Daje, a unique dynamic unfolds each time, making every "In’t Hörn bi‘t Füür" (In the Corner by the Fire) appointment with Geeske and Daje "in the corner by the fire" unmistakable.
