We meet every first Wednesday of the month at 7:30 PM with interested literature lovers for discussions about both classic and modern literature at the Voß-Haus. Christine Wunnicke: The Lady with the Painted Hand The novel revolves around the fictional meeting of the German research traveler, mathematician, and cartographer Carsten Niebuhr and the Persian astronomer Musa al-Lahuri in 1764 on the island of Elephanta. (Berenberg Verlag 2020) Shortlisted for the German Book Prize 2020, Wilhelm Raabe Literature Prize 2020. Christine Wunnicke (1966) lives as a writer and translator in Munich.
