We meet every first Wednesday of the month at 7:30 PM with interested literature lovers for discussions about both classic and modern literature at the Voß-Haus. Elif Shafak: The Whisper of the Fig Trees "The Whisper of the Fig Trees" tells the story of a love between a Turk and a Greek on the divided island of Cyprus. (Published by Kein & Aber 2021) Shortlist of the British Book Awards. Elif Shafak (1971) is a British-Turkish author and lives in London. Her books have been translated into 57 languages and have received numerous awards.
