Concert reading: "Erich Kästner and His Time"

"Erich Kästner and His Time" With this motto, "Die Neuen 3," an ensemble from Lower Saxony, aims to approach the great writer, publicist, screenwriter, and cabaret poet. 2024 marks both his 125th birthday and his 50th death anniversary. However, his significance extends far beyond this anniversary year. Heike Koschnicke, recitation, will recount his colorful and exciting life and recite from his works. Linda Moeken, piano, and Peter Alexander Herwig, baritone, will sensitively depict the human development of the "poet of small freedom" (Marcel Reich-Ranicki) and the spirit of that time with compositions by Franz Schubert, Robert Schumann, Paul Graener, Hugo Wolf, and Rudolf Wagner-Regény.
