City Tour: Blown Away Traces - Jewish Life in Münden

Memorial plaques on one wall or another of buildings, the stele behind the town hall with the names of people who once called our city home - sometimes we stop to read, but most of the time we pass by carelessly. Who were these people who lived in our city as Jews, and what fate befell them? How are their life stories connected to Münden? On February 1, 2026, we invite you to a guided tour where we will visit places of remembrance, discover "scattered traces," and gain insights into the lives of our Jewish fellow citizens from the Middle Ages to the expulsion and annihilation during the Third Reich. The route will also lead us to the mikveh, the traditional Jewish ritual bath. Tour on Sunday, February 1, 2026, at 2:30 PM starting from the town hall, duration approximately 70 minutes, cost contribution €8, children up to 14 years free when accompanied by an adult.
