Up Close - RSO Chamber Music

Discover the musicians of the ORF Radio Symphony Orchestra Vienna from a new perspective with four diverse concerts at the ORF RadioKulturhaus. Classics and rarities, original works and arrangements in a balanced mix characterize the chamber music cycle of the ORF RSO Vienna. Alongside the great jubilarian Johann Strauss II, Antonín Dvořák will also be prominently featured in the upcoming season. His second piano quintet op. 81, a gem of chamber music, will be performed alongside works by Mahler and Banlaky. The American Quartet will join Ibert and Zemlinsky in a concert of the Radio Woodwinds. The Galitzin Quartet played its very first concert in our cycle in 2017, and in the upcoming season, it will perform works by Wally, Bartók, and Beethoven. In the program "Viva Polonia," the Polish orchestra members celebrate the diversity of composers from their homeland.
