Father's Day Special - Animal Dads

Father's Day is just around the corner. It's a good reason to take a closer look at animal fathers. What do the males do when it comes to having and raising young? Some male animals act surprisingly caring when it comes to raising their young. For example, the nandus become extremely loving fathers when it comes to building nests, incubating the eggs, and raising the chicks. In contrast, kangaroo males have a very different attitude towards their offspring. As true macho figures, they know little about how to handle the babies. Storks, on the other hand, share the responsibilities equally. Both parents take care of raising the young.
