Organ music at market time

Organ Music at Market Time The popular concert series "Organ Music at Market Time" continues. On Saturday, June 6, at 10:30 a.m., Jan Oexle from Pfullendorf will perform works by Georg Muffat and Johann Sebastian Bach. Jan Oexle (*2001) began his musical training in 2011 on the trombone. He then received his first organ lessons in 2020 from Dina Trost. After graduating from the Hohenzollern Gymnasium in Sigmaringen in 2020, he attended the Krumbach Vocational School of Music, majoring in trombone and organ. Since 2023, he has been pursuing a bachelor’s degree in Catholic Church Music in Rottenburg am Neckar. His primary instructors are Cathedral Organist Prof. Georg Oberauer and Prof. Wolfgang Weis. He has gained further inspiration through master classes with Prof. Daniel Maurer (Strasbourg), Prof. Hans-Jürgen Kaiser (Mainz), and Cathedral Organist Christoph Schönfelder (St. Gallen). As an organist and church musician, he is primarily active at St. Jakobus in Pfullendorf and the Maria Schray Pilgrimage Church, as well as in his university town of Rottenburg. He regularly performs in a duo with Paula Hassa, playing the organ and flute. In addition, he conducts the Meßkirch-Ostrach-Pfullendorf trombone choir and the church choir in Illmensee.
