"Nobody knows the darkness better." Markus Veith has long been a well-known name here in Bad Essen. For several years, he has been regularly captivating citizens and guests with his theater performances. Whether during a walk in nature or on stage, every event has been a resounding success. In 2026, he will return with his "Raven-Black Night Stories" and once again take you into a world of fine fright, dark humor, and delightfully eerie fun with guaranteed goosebumps and laughter! Edgar Allan Poe's raven breaks free from the horror poem and invites you to a macabre stroll through the dark green. For this gloomy bird can do more than just say "Nevermore." It can see the souls of the deceased, knows exactly where and how murders have occurred, and presents these stories in lines of raven-black humor. It reports on werewolves and vampires, on life-weary living and exceedingly lively dead, mocks human superstitions, and presents some classics along the way: It leads through the bush where ringed snakes slither, caws lyrical fountains, and above it all, the morning star glimmers. Date: Saturday, May 16, 2025, 2 performances at: 5:30 PM and 8:00 PM Good to know: Meeting point: about 15 minutes before the start in front of the Tourist Information Duration: 90 minutes The number of participants is limited to 30 people. In case of bad weather, there will be an indoor alternative.
