Wonderful customs at the turn of the yearThe Old Year's burning on Lake Hallstatt takes place on 28 December in Obertraun according to old custom.

The torchlight hike through the snow-covered winter forest begins at 18:00.
Far away from the stress and hectic pace of everyday life, you will experience a unique ambience on Lake Hallstatt. A mystical, unforgettable evening awaits you.

An adventure-filled experience for children, with a campfire for grilling sausages, and a big bonfire for everyone to make wishes and worries.
Symbolically burn the worries and fears of the past year in a huge bonfire and throw your wishes, thoughts and resolutions for the coming year into the bonfire to make them come true.

The burning of the bonfire is accompanied by a brass band from the Obertraun local band.
Contribution towards expenses: The prices will be available shortly. (consists of torch, sausages, pastries, drink)
