With the Moorbahn to the Bird Paradise: The re-wetted moorlands of the Ahlenmoor have developed into a small bird paradise – a success of nature conservation! The Moorbahn travels into this exciting habitat – under expert guidance, interesting and sometimes rare bird species are observed. For example, the elegant crane, which was extinct in the region 15 years ago, is now breeding again in the Ahlenmoor. With a bit of luck, you might also see redshanks, brown and black-throated divers, meadow pipits, kestrels, and sea eagles. If possible, please bring your own binoculars. Some binoculars are also available for loan. We also have spaces for guests with wheelchairs. In this case, you must register with us in advance by email (mooriz@ahlenmoor.de) or by phone at 04757-8189558, as we need to prepare these specially. Unfortunately, online ticketing is not possible in this case! Dogs are not allowed on the Moorbahn! In extreme weather conditions, cancellations may occur.
