Women often encounter such trials in fairy tales: they must find their own path, overcome boundaries, assert themselves, or quietly yet powerfully bring about change. Fairy tales show us that we are not alone, that we can count on support, and that inner strength, compassion, and an open heart are rewarded. Many female fairy tale characters transcend their limits, trust their intuition, and discover their own power—often beyond traditional role models. Fairy tales exist in all countries, and their themes are similar because the questions and experiences of people—especially women—are comparable everywhere: Who am I? What makes me strong? How do I find my voice? Jutta Juraschek is a freelance storyteller and would like to dive into the world of fairy tales and their symbolic language with you this evening. We will look at images and motifs that accompany us to this day: What does the forest represent as a place of trial and new beginnings? What does it mean when Little Red Riding Hood is swallowed by the wolf—and is the wolf really always just evil? What messages about self-determination, courage, and female strength can be discovered within? This is a joint event of the library and Eike Reich, the equality officer of the municipality of Stelle, on the occasion of International Women's Day. Admission is free. We kindly ask for registration.
