Nature Walk Mettnau

Immerse yourself in the diversity of nature on the Mettnau and learn about the seasonal features of nature at Lake Constance under expert guidance. The nature walk on the Mettnau peninsula is a fascinating experience that takes place every second and fourth Tuesday from April to August, from 7:00 PM to 8:00 PM. This one-hour tour focuses on the spa park and the accessible part of the Mettnau, as the outermost tip of the peninsula, known as the Mettnauspitze, is closed from April 15 to August 31 for bird protection reasons. During the walk, you can experience the unique wildlife and plant life of one of Germany's oldest nature reserves up close. The Mettnau peninsula, which extends about 3.5 kilometers into the Untersee, is home to an impressive variety of habitats. Shallow water zones with rare water birds, gravel shores and reed zones, riparian forests with golden orioles and black kites, as well as reed meadows with orchids and other botanical rarities.
