Markgräfler Symphony Orchestra - 29th Mozart Festival

As part of the 29th Bad Krozingen Mozart Festival, from April 6 to May 25, 2026, the Markgräfler Symphony Orchestra will hold a grand anniversary concert in celebration of its 40th anniversary. To set the mood, the orchestra will play excerpts from the Carmen Suites by Georges Bizet. Following this, the Müllheim Chamber Choir, conducted by Albrecht Haaf, will perform the piece "Under der linden an der heide," composed by Haaf himself, which transitions ideally to the medieval character of Carl Orff's "Carmina burana," which will then be presented in its entirety and with full instrumentation, including five percussionists. The preparation of the project choir is under the direction of Albrecht Haaf. The pre-profile class 5 of the MGM, prepared by David Brooke, will perform as a children's choir. The soloists will be Verena Seyboldt (soprano, Freiburg), Luca Festner (tenor, Munich), and Linus Fischer (baritone, Freiburg). The overall direction of the event is in the capable hands of Uwe Müller-Feser, conductor and co-founder of the Markgräfler Symphony Orchestra. Since 1986, the Markgräfler Symphony Orchestra has been based in Müllheim and attracts many musicians from the region with high-quality symphonic music.
