**Summer choir concert with the Gesualdo Ensemble** A cappella choir music with works by Schütz, Brahms, Nystedt, and others.
Since its founding in 1986, the Gesualdo Ensemble has been dedicated to the cultivation of a cappella music. The choir's repertoire ranges from the chromatic motets of Gesualdo di Venosa at the end of the 16th century to compositions by Schütz, Bach, and Brahms to numerous works from the 20th and 21st centuries. The Gesualdo Ensemble attaches particular importance to a varied program. A chronological sequence of works has been abandoned in favor of a much more interesting and contrasting thematic juxtaposition of even the most diverse eras.
