The work of the quartet DRiP thrives in the realm of progressive music, fusing classical structures with jazzy harmonies and juxtaposing complex arrangements of dramatic agogics and improvisation. Founded in 2021 by pianist, drummer, and composer Danny Rico, the trio released the album "Artificial Anus" in October 2022 under the label jazzit:edition, followed by the album "Forest People" in spring 2024. At the beginning of 2025, the trio was expanded to include London guitarist Nick Linnik. In early January, new compositions were tested, performed, recorded, and turned into videos during a wonderfully crazy week. Prior collaborations between Nick and Danny had already produced albums such as "Derek Trotson" (2011) and "Threads" (2013).
