In this event, we will explore a decommissioned quarry in search of heat-loving specialized animal species that thrive in the barren landscape surrounding the serpentine rock. We will pay particular attention to reptiles, amphibians, and grasshopper species.

At this location, you will encounter a climate that almost resembles a Mediterranean one, characterized by strong disturbance dynamics.

Typically found here are species such as the Alpine Newt and rarities like the Blue-winged Sand Grasshopper, the Marsh Cricket, and the Steppe Saddle Grasshopper. The Black Stork also takes advantage of the rich amphibian offerings of the ponds.
