The Jazz Matinee at the Old Post Office in Bad Ischl sets a special musical accent in the heart of Bad Ischl. The international ensemble Energizing Ukraine – a project that opens up new artistic opportunities for refugee musicians from Ukraine – combines jazz standards and original compositions with the unique atmosphere of the Salzkammergut region.

Featuring Olya Zhukova (Cello & Vocals), Johannes Dickbauer (Violin), and Anton Zhukov (Double Bass), three outstanding musicians take the stage, merging jazz, classical, and Eastern European sounds into a vibrant, emotional expression. The program is complemented by a reading from the writer Marjana Gaponenko, an award-winning author of Ukrainian origin who writes in German today. Her text enters into a free dialogue with the music, adding a literary perspective to the matinee.

Thus, a musical-literary morning is created, enriching a stay in Bad Ischl in a special way – light, inspiring, and carried by the unique atmosphere of the Salzkammergut.
