Welcome to the Hell Spectacle in Korneuburg! At the main square, you can expect a Krampus-like commotion that will send chills down your spine. Dark figures from the underworld roam the city, Krampuses wreak havoc, and other mysterious characters create an atmosphere full of tension, secrets, and magical moments. Let yourself be enveloped by the darkness and immerse yourself in a world where ancient myths come to life.

In addition to the spectacular Krampus procession, you will learn more about the fascinating history of the Krampus. Its origins lie in pagan traditions with roots in Celtic customs. In times of close connection with nature, people created this wild figure to protect themselves against fog and winter spirits. With noise, masks, and a threatening presence, these spirits were to be driven away while simultaneously bringing luck and fertility.

The Hell Spectacle is designed to be family-friendly; however, please keep your distance, as the event is loud, wild, and at times frightening. The ancient tradition is made as authentic as possible in Korneuburg – accordingly, the Krampus run is an intense, loud, and eerie event. Parents, as well as anxious or sensitive visitors, should be prepared and accompany children accordingly.
