A Styrian Roas in St. Bartholomä

On October 12, the Graz Experience Region opens its doors with the "Styrian Roas" starting at 9:00 AM with a field mass in the courtyard of the parish church of St. Catherine, led by Pastor Mag. Martin Trummler and Bishop Krautwaschl in Ligist.
9:45 – 10:00 AM Blessing of the hikers at the marketplace, followed by the departure of the Stormy Hike.
From 10:00 AM Festive opening at the marketplace.
From 11:00 AM Start of the ORF Steiermark Frühschoppen recording.
12:00 PM Literary hike with hiking guide and the Murtal Kirchtagsmusi.
Until 5:00 PM Folk cultural performances, craft market, and culinary delights at the marketplace, children's program with children's Roas fun.

Stormy Hike:
Marketplace – Buschenschank Greitbauer, music from 10:30–11:30 AM – Schilcherhof, music from 11:30 AM–12:30 PM – Grabenwarth, music from 12:30–1:30 PM – Reiterhof Spatenhof, music from 1:30–2:30 PM – Fruit press, meeting with the literary hike.

Literary Hike:
Churchyard – Marketplace – Hammerwerk Roob – Beekeeping Rosenzopf, together with the Stormy Hike – Buschenschank Zach, together with the Stormy Hike – Buschenschank Dokter, together with the Stormy Hike.

Music, dance, dialect, and craftsmanship – at the Styrian Roas, the traditions of the Graz Experience Region come to life. Musicians, singers, folk dancers, and dialect poets demonstrate how deeply rooted folk culture is in the region. Traditional costumes and artisanal crafts from Styria enhance the vibrant picture. Culinary offerings from the Brettljaus’n to Sturm make the marketplace in Ligist a meeting point for all who appreciate regional traditions.
