Scything course with sharpening (copy)

The scythe instructor Elisabeth Katzinger has experienced that for certain mowing tasks, the traditional scythe is better suited than the motor scythe, and has therefore reworked the traditional knowledge about the good old scythe. Both individuals with scything experience and beginners can easily relearn this ancient cultural technique. It is encouraged to bring along even seemingly broken scythes, sharpening stones, and peening tools to the course. Additionally, there will be information on what to look for when purchasing a new scythe. Adjustments from the scythe blade to the scything throw will be made. The most important part of the course is the peening of the scythe. There will be enough peening options and scythes available. During mowing, attention will be paid to good posture and proper body position. To prevent accidents and maintain the blade's sharpness, good protection of the scythe blade is important.
