A Tribute to Fred Buscaglione
Charming, rebellious, and full of swing: Fred Buscaglione was one of the most colorful music icons of Italy in the 1950s. His songs blend jazz, swing, and blues with humorous lyrics, self-irony, and irresistible energy.
The host of the evening is the German-Italian baritone Marco Di Sapia, a member of the Volksoper Wien ensemble. With charm and wit, he guides the audience through the program, providing short, entertaining insights into the style, story, and background of each song. He is accompanied by the Joe Hofbauer Quintet, which brings the spirit of the 1950s to life with warm sound, stylish arrangements, and extensive jazz experience.
