Agnes Palmisano, hailed by the press as the "icon of Viennese song" and the "queen of the Viennese yodel," embraces life, aging, and her three-octave voice in the service of interpreting Viennese musical heritage. From a young singing student with roots in Saalfelden, who set out to revive the "Wiener Dudler" – the Viennese coloratura yodel of the 19th century, which has been recognized as an intangible cultural heritage by UNESCO since 2011 – she has become a woman who has songs for every situation and approaches life with humor. With a dreamlike stylistic certainty, she navigates the most diverse genres: traditional and self-composed Viennese songs, Dudlers, couplets, and cabaret chansons. Her voice plays all colors and facets, soaring to dizzying heights and plunging into dark depths, touching listeners with both beauty and expressiveness. When Agnes Palmisano teams up with Daniel Fuchsberger on contraguitar, Andreas Teufel on Schrammel harmonica, and Aliosha Biz on violin, they create chamber music in the smallest ensemble at the highest level, or perhaps the "coolest" band in the world.
