Choral Festival in Eisenstadt "Let your song of praise resound, rejoice in the Lord, the mighty God," the heavenly hosts proclaim in "The Creation." "Hooray, let us be joyful and hurrah, hurrah, hurrah, shout with all our might," the wine- intoxicated rural folk exclaim in the "Seasons": For Joseph Haydn, singing is a joyfully fulfilled commandment – and so, for the first time, a large choral festival will unite hundreds of voices in and around Schloss Esterházy in a workshop and various concerts. The audience will be delighted in many styles and according to diverse tastes with the most immediate, physical music-making that has existed since time immemorial: singing.
